SRM Trichy Arts and Science College successfully conducted the Bridge Course for English, titled “English Unlocked: Bridging the Gap to College Excellence,” from August 14th to 27th, 2024. This initiative was designed to support SDG 4 by ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all incoming students. The course aimed to facilitate a seamless transition into college-level English studies, particularly for students from diverse educational backgrounds. It focused on developing essential skills in reading, writing, critical thinking, grammar, and academic vocabulary. Through structured activities and assessments, the program contributed to the students’ academic preparedness, aligning with the goal of promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. The success of the course was evident in the enhanced reading comprehension, improved writing skills, and strengthened critical thinking abilities observed among the participants. The program demonstrated the institution’s commitment to fostering quality education and equitable learning opportunities.Ms. K. Kayathri served as the convenor of the Bridge Course, with Ms. Dhivyalakshmi as the co-convener, ensuring that the program met its educational objectives and upheld the values of SDG 4.
