REPORT ON BLOOD DONATION AWARENESS PROGRAM

The YRC Committeeand RRC Committee organized an awareness Program on “Blood Donation” on 28thOctober 2022 at 10.30 pm @ Seminar Hall.
The day started with prayer. RRC VolunteerMs. Aarthi, delivered the welcome address to the gathering. The Principal Dr. D. Francis Xavier Christopher, Vice Principal (Academic)
Dr. G. IlangoDr.S.LawrenceLeve, Vice-Principal (Admin) felicitated the gathering. Dr. G. IlangoVice-Principal honoured the chief guest and gave presidential address. Resource Person Dr.L.AravinthAssistant Professor, Department of Transfusion, SRM Trichy Medical College presented a detailed note on Blood Donation, importance of the Blood Donation, Types of Doners, Usage of Tools in the Blood Bank to Handle the patients, ask question regarding Blood Donation, division of ages and the eligibility of the donors, and types of Blood Groups, Universal Doner and Receiveretc,. were explained in the program. There was an interaction with students and asking few questions about the basic facts of the first aid. RRCConvenorDr. P. ShyamalaAnto Mary and YRCConvenorDr. T. Gnanasekaranarranged the necessary things to this program.
The program was handled for the RRC and YRC Volunteers of the Institution. Finally, Mr.J.Saran YRC Volunteer delivered vote of thanks. The program ends with National Anthem.
