5th Annual day

The 5th Annual day of SRM Trichy Arts and Science was held on the 1st of April at 9.30 am in SRM Auditorium. The program was presided over by Dr R. Shivakumar Chairman, of SRM Group of Institutions  Trichy and Ramapuram campuses and Dr N. Sethuraman Chief Director of SRM Group of Institutions Trichy and Ramapuram Campuses. Dr Ilango Vice Principal of academics delivered the welcome address. The traditional beginning of Lightening the kuthuvilakku followed by the presidential address was delivered by Dr Malmurugan Campus Director,  SRM Trichy Campus.  A special address was delivered by Dr Balasubramanian Deputy Director,  SRM Trichy Campus.  The Annual  Report was presented by Dr D.  Francis Xavier Christopher, Principal SRM Trichy Arts and Science College.  The Chief Guest of the Annual Day Mr Diary Saga Station Head,  Hello FM Trichy delivered the Annual Day address. He spoke on the importance of having a positive attitude which will lead to a successful life. He also added the passing of knowledge over generations is vital and each person’s potential may come into existence when the golden moment occurs in one’s life. University Ranks holders were given awards, the Best gone student was awarded to Hari Santhosh of III Maths and Vinotha III B.Com. Proficiency Awards and Attendance achievers were appreciated with awards.  ‘ Poetica’ an exclusive poetic collection of the students of SRM Trichy Arts and Science college was Released by the Chief  Guest and other dignitaries.  9 Professors’  namely Dr Shyamala, Dr Selvakumari, Dr Sumitha, Dr Selvalakshmi, Dr Vijayalakshmi, Ms Punithavalli, Dr Akila, Ms Ethina books was launched successfully.  The prestigious campus newsletter  SRM Connect was also released on the Annual Day.

The program was coordinated by the Committed band of faculty. Parents and a huge number of students joined the Annual Day celebration.
